Please brew
your favorite pot of tea,
pour your cuppa, and settle back in that comfortable
spot as you journey through our available tours.
Don't make any hasty decisions,
think about it for a while.
I would like to introduce myself and our "Over A Cuppa Tea Tours".
The tea tours were designed for the specific purpose
of sharing in the spirit of sipping tea, and to
create an avenue for women to share
in the same experience together,
in the country that began the Ritual of Afternoon Tea, England . . .
"Oh England, my beautiful England."
Whatever you are looking for when you go there . . . It's there!
I was looking for simplicity,
the England of Literature and a bygone era.
I found it! I found it in and out of quaint villages,
within hidden tearooms and pubs,
and within the everyday lives of people who live there.
My childhood imaginings came alive at
Buckingham Palace,
and within the walls of many castles visited.
They came alive especially when I had
the privilege of seeing a real live princess.
Princess Diana was everything that I thought
a princess should be.
There she was in all her splendor . . . there I was in all my awe
enveloped within my childhood fantasy.
Maybe you too will catch a glimpse of something
that will take you back to your own childhood?
My journey and introduction to tea began long
ago
in a far away place called childhood.
I remember my grandmother saying that
"whether or not you create an elegant or simple
act of sipping tea,
anyone can experience and share in its ceremony."
The English most certainly can attest to that,
they often have their tea anytime, anywhere,
and in any way. Lipton, Tetley and Rose Tea
were the three teas we had in the house while
I was growing up. The tea was served tea bag
style with cake or cookies, unlike the formal affair
in Victorian times, but nonetheless, enjoyable.
I especially remember my childhood China Tea Set.
Every girl had one in our neighborhood and took turns
putting on a tea party.
I sometimes still feel that I am that little girl
playing grown up and going to tea parties,
the only difference now is that the tea cups and
plates are bigger.
It took many years, wishes, quite a few dreams
and my first trip to the fairytale land of England,
to begin once again with the ritual
of serving my afternoon tea.
A Victorian Tea Renaissance was at its
beginning stages when I started conducting
"Over A Cuppa Tea Tours" to Britain.
In fact, as far as we know, we were the very first company back in 1994
to promote and provide these tours to England.
Since that time, many other tea tours have come into being.
We continue to keep our prices as low as possible,
unlike many of the other tea tours available.
Our mission is not to over price the
individual,
but to establish a base of satisfied customers
and repeat clientele for our various tours.
My mission is to also continue, to make available,
an avenue for individuals to experience other cultures
and lifestyles around the captivating drink called tea.
Won't you join me as we sip a cuppa tea
together
in a beautiful tea garden across the sea.
All of our tours are gently paced and not rushed;
always providing an Attentive and Quality Service.
It is my utmost desire to incorporate in our tours,
fun and laughter with moments of silent reflection
and child-like wonder.
Our Tea Tours are usually 10-12 days,
depending on what tour you choose.
We have a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 people
traveling on most tours.
It is our policy to provide each of our customers
with the very best service possible,
therefore limiting group size.
All tours and trips are escorted by our own people
to ensure everything goes smoothly and
to assist throughout the entire tour;
everyone is looked after from arrival
to departure. We use Host Family Accommodations
on our S.E. England tours; providing you with
the opportunity to truly experience a British family
and their traditions throughout your stay.
You will be welcomed into their homes with warmth
and unsurpassed hospitality.
No repeated packing and unpacking;
one home for the entire tour w/private bath.
Let us take this journey together
to celebrate your life and broaden your horizons
"Over A Cuppa Tea!"
Seize the moments and each breathtaking hour of the tour.
Take back your life . . .
Take home a new you . . .
Refreshed and renewed.
Hope to hear from you soon
and perhaps see you on a tour.
